How to login to Vera🔗

This guide requires that you have completed: Applying for an Chalmers account

Before you attempt to login using either method described below, please ensure that your computer is connected to the Chalmers or Gothenburg University network. If you need, you can use the Chalmers VPN.

🌐 Using a web browser: Login to the Vera Ondemand Web Portal

  • This method is recommended for beginners who have little or no experience with a command line interface
  • Log in to the Vera Ondemand web portal

⌨️ Using a Terminal: Login using SSH

  • This method is recommended for users prefering to work with a command line interface
  • Open a terminal on your local machine
  • Connect to one of the Vera login nodes: vera1.c3se.chalmers.se or vera2.c3se.chalmers.se using SSH and your Chalmers credentials (CID + password)

🌐 Using ThinLinc: Login using ThinLinc (a VNC solution provided by Cendio)

  • This method is useful when you require a high-performance solution for interactive or iterative tasks, particularly within workflows involving visualization or other interactive elements
  • Download the ThinLinc desktop client from Cendio
  • Connect to vera1.c3se.chalmers.se or vera2.c3se.chalmers.se using your Chalmers Credentials (CID + password)
