First-time users

Welcome to the High Performance Compute (HPC) systems at Chalmers. Before you can start working on one of the systems, there are a few steps to go through.

  1. Create an account on SUPR, the Swedish User and Project Repository. SUPR is NAISS database to keep track of persons, projects, and proposals for Swedish compute resources.
  2. Decide which resource you want to use.
  3. Become a member of a project on the resource that you want to use. You can do this by either joining an existing project or writing your own project proposal.
  4. Approve the user agreement for that resource.
  5. Request an account for the resource(s) that you want to use. Having a SUPR account does not automatically mean that you have an account on Vera, for example.
  6. Follow an intro seminar for your resource of choice.
  7. Chalmers students should take the online computer cluster introduction.
