File and data transfer

It is important to use a dedicated client for the transfer of data, because both ThinLinc and OpenOndemand are not meant to facilitate this. Instead, use an SCP/SFTP client, such as Cyberduck, WinSCP, or rsync. Alternatively, one can use scp or sftp directly.

We prefer it if you do your file transfer through vera2.c3se.chalmers.se or alvis2.c3se.chalmers.se, since most users log in through vera1 and alvis1.

When transferring data, you have to specify a location. For more information on where to store your data and what quotas apply, see the page about our filesystem
